COP26 writing competition

How passionate are you about climate change?
The UK will host the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow in November 2021. The summit will bring together heads of state, climate experts, young people, civil society, trade unions, faith groups and Indigenous Peoples to agree coordinated action to tackle climate change.
To mark this occasion, we have launched a writing competition for undergraduate and postgraduate taught students at the University. Write an article on the theme of tackling climate change for the chance to win a top prize of £500. Two runners-up will each receive £250. All prize winners will also have their articles published online by the University of Birmingham.
Here Professor Alice Roberts (Professor of Public Engagement in Science) explains more.
To enter, write an article of up to 2,000 words on the theme of tackling climate change and send to [email protected] by Sunday, 2 May. All entries should be written in English.
